Last weekend,
Palestine retained the title of the sixth edition of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup when they beat Burundi by 3-1 goals in a one-sided final in Dhaka on Saturday.
Burundi's ruling party, the CNDD-FDD, picked its secretary-general, Evariste Ndayishimiye, as its candidate in a presidential election scheduled for May, it said on Sunday.
The retired Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, 41, and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. Bryant was among the passengers traveling on board the helicopter on Sunday. Five people were confirmed deceased, with no survivors, in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said on Twitter. An investigation is ongoing.
This Week
The news in Burundi this week will be dominated by congratulations messages to the CNDD-FDD’scandidate. I expect media to help us learn more information about Evariste Ndayishimiye(Biography, Cv and his political priorities) the ruling party candidate to the 2020 presidential election.
On the other hand, the radical opposition will shift from a communication line centered on Pierre Nkurunziza, to have Evariste Ndayishimiye as their main target. Speeches, Snippets of Youtubes videos will be posted over the social media to show how “good” or “bad” is the new Cndd-FDD system flag bearer.
Four journalists working for Iwacu Press Group arrested in the west of Burundi on 22 October 2019, their judgment is expected to be rendered before the end of this month of January 2020. A sentence of 15 years was required for these journalists and their driver
