The Burundi Constitutional Court confirmed the Victory of the Cndd-Fdd party to the ballots of May 20, 2020. Evariste Ndayishimiye, candidate of the CNDD-FDD is now the president-elect for the next 7 years with 68.70% of the votes.
In the second position comes Agathon Rwasa CNL Party with 28,98%. Gaston Sindimwo of the UPRONA party comes in the third position with 1,63%.
The Constitutional Court dismissed all the appeals of the CNL party of Agathon Rwasa concerning the three elections of May 20, 2020, by declaring their appeals of "null and void".

The motion against the expulsion of the candidates PélateNiyonkuru and ZenaNdayishimiye from the CNL during the legislative elections of May 20, 2020, is deemed partially admissible by the constitutional court.
The two candidates are reinstated in their rights and will be the member of the parliament representing the Kayanza Province.
CathyKezimana, the CNL candidate, who was arrested in the middle of the campaign and released after the polls, elected in Bujumbura Province has also been rehabilitated in her rights by the Constitutional Court.
The appeals provided by the observation mission of the Conference of Catholic Bishops reporting "massive irregularities" in 300 polling stations were found to be "unfounded, void and of no effect".
Last week Agathon Rwasa said that in case the decision of the Court is not favorable to him, his party plans to seize the Community Court of East African Community.
"We have produced evidence that there has been massive fraud. At the moment, we are awaiting the reading of the Constitutional Court. And that’s what we’re going to stick to, ”he said.
Media expect the CNL Party statement this Friday or later during the weekend.
